  • About Ronald Russo

Ronald Russo, a music education graduate of Western Connecticut State College, spent more than three decades as a music teacher at various schools throughout Connecticut's Region 14. He began his career in music education at the Bethlehem School, providing musical instruction to students from kindergarten through the eighth grade. In addition to his classroom activities, Ronald Russo developed the school’s first after school band program.

When Bethlehem School joined the Thomaston Public School District and later the new Region 14, Mr. Russo became a full time music teacher and band director. As his role expanded, so did his responsibilities. Some of his achievements with the Thomaston area schools included writing the entire K-6 general music curriculum, overseeing the acquisition of new musical equipment and instruments, and ultimately taking on the position of the region’s first ever music coordinator.

Ronald Russo holds both a bachelor of science and master of science in music education from Western Connecticut State College in Danbury. He has also studied arranging and music education as part of a joint program with the Berklee School of Music and Boston Conservatory.
